At Take Root, nothing is ever compromised in our 3-step process:
1. We source pesticide-free vegetables directly from small, local farms.
2. We season the vegetables with a blend of nuts, veggies, herbs and spices.
3. We gently dry (not fry!) the vegetables to crunchy perfection.
Peanut butter cups were a childhood favorite of ours. But one look at the ingredient listing of the leading brand—Polyglycerol Polyricinoleate?! Tertiary Butylhodroquinone?! No thank you!—and we said adios to these beloved treats… until now.
Why not create our own version, we asked? And so we set out to make our peanut butter cup dreams come true, in our signature Take Root style - using only a few, real food ingredients that you can pronounce. Creamy, locally-made peanut butter paired with a rich, vegan dark chocolate make for an irresistible combo.

This means we have achieved a net zero plastic footprint by offsetting the amount of plastic we use through the upcycling of the equivalent amount of (non-specific) plastic. We aim to make sustainability the heart of our business.
